Mr. Santosh Salvi
CEO/Founder- Unique System Skills
Technology Entrepreneur, Community Builder, and Public Servant:
Santosh Salvi stands as a testament to how visionary leadership can transform industries across borders. His founding philosophy for Unique System Skills aligns seamlessly with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious goals for technological advancement and workforce development. Recognizing the universal need for qualified IT professionals during the global financial crisis of 2008, Santosh established USS with principles that resonate deeply with Saudi values of excellence in education, respect for tradition while embracing innovation, and creating meaningful economic opportunities. What distinguishes USS in the Kingdom is its commitment to developing local talent while bringing global expertise to the table. The company’s presence in Saudi Arabia represents Santosh’s belief that technology training should be accessible to determined individuals regardless of background, supporting the Kingdom’s goals of economic diversification and digital transformation. Through strategic partnerships with local institutions and businesses, USS has adapted its successful global model to meet the specific needs of the Saudi market, offering specialized training programs that prepare Saudi nationals for the digital economy while providing enterprises with the technological expertise needed to compete globally. This balance of respect for local context with international standards exemplifies the organization’s approach to building bridges across cultures through technology.
Santosh Salvi exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit and technical excellence of the Indian diaspora in the United States. With over two decades of expertise in Oracle, PeopleSoft, and SAP implementations, he transformed adversity into opportunity during the 2008 financial crisis by founding Unique System Skills LLC. This technology company now operates across six countries, including the United States, Canada, and India, with offshore centers in Pune and Mumbai.
His company serves dual purposes: delivering premium IT services globally while creating employment pathways for unemployed professionals, veterans, and students through specialized IT skills development. This approach has strengthened technological and business ties between the United States and India while creating sustainable employment opportunities in both nations.
As founder of Salvi Enterprise LLC, Santosh has developed an extensive portfolio of residential and commercial properties across North America, demonstrating the business acumen and investment vision that Indian professionals bring to global markets.
Santosh’s dedication to preserving Indian cultural heritage abroad is exemplified through his leadership roles as both president and vice president of the New England Marathi Mandal (NEMM), an organization with 1,000 members spanning three states. His seven-year tenure as a volunteer teacher at Shishu Bharati, a Sunday school for Indian immigrant children, has helped a new generation maintain their cultural identity through language education and cultural immersion.
His organizational expertise was instrumental during the 2013 Brihan Maharashtra Mandal (BMM) Conference in Rhode Island, whereas co-chair of the fundraising committee, he helped welcome over 3,800 attendees from around the world, creating vital connections between Indian communities globally.
Through volunteer work with the New England Shirdi Sai Parivar (NESSP), his marketing and fundraising efforts supported temple construction in Littleton, MA, creating a spiritual center that strengthens Indian cultural preservation. Currently, as treasurer for BMM of North America Inc., he enhances collaboration among Marathi organizations across North America.
In November 2024, Santosh achieved a significant milestone by being elected State Representative for Ward 5, Nashua, New Hampshire. As a member of the Consumer and Commerce Committee, he applies his business experience to shape economic policies while representing the interests of the Indian diaspora in American governance. This achievement demonstrates how Indians overseas can integrate fully into civic leadership while maintaining strong cultural connections to India.
For over five years, Santosh has coordinated the Nashua Soup Kitchen Project, mobilizing 48 families to prepare and serve meals to 120 homeless residents weekly. This commitment exemplifies how values of seva (selfless service) from Indian culture translate into meaningful community impact abroad.
Through business operations in both countries, cultural leadership, and now public office, Santosh has strengthened the bonds between India and the United States. His technology company creates opportunity flows between the nations, while his cultural work ensures that Indian heritage remains vibrant within American society. As an elected official, he represents a vital bridge between the two democracies, demonstrating how Indian Americans contribute to governance while maintaining their cultural identity.
Santosh Salvi’s integrated approach to business, cultural preservation, and public service makes him an exemplary candidate for the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award, embodying the finest qualities of the global Indian diaspora.
